RU-CENTER is a sponsor of the 38th International ICANN Meeting

The 38th International ICANN Meeting will be held in Brussels, Belgium, from 20 to 25 June, 2010. Over 1000 participants have already registered on the event, the conference promises to be one of the biggest ICANN meetings ever. Among the attendees there are representatives of registries, registrars, governmental bodies and non-commercial organisations, companies, providing additional services on domain name market.

The key topic of the forthcoming meeting is security of address system of the Internet. Also the discussion on New gTLD program will be continued. This program defines new rules for creation of top-level domains. Currently within the framework of New gTLD development the Application Guidebook v.4 has been published and the ICANN meeting is a good opportunity for the Internet community to compare notes on the issue.

The agenda of the conference also includes sessions of ICANN constituencies and working groups (WGs). RU-CENTER representatives will participate in some of them. Tatiana Khramtsova, international project manager at RU-CENTER, will attend Registrar Stakeholder Group meeting and sessions of Post-Expiry Domain Name Recovery WG, Policy Development Process WG and Registrar Accreditation Agreement WG.
