Domain Status and Auth code

Checking Domain Status

Using Whois service check domain status. If the status has 'clientTransferProhibited' (LOCK) value, you will be required to:

  • Login to DomainPeople client's interface using domain name and domain password;
  • Select "Domain Lock Status";
  • Click on UNLOCK to permit domain transfer.

Getting Registry Auth code

Login to DomainPeople client's interface using domain name and domain password and select item Summary. The registry Auth code is indicated in field "Domain Authorization Code".

If you entered invalid code into field "Domain Authorization Code" you will be required to submit to support@domainpeople.com the request with the domain name and domain password.

Sample request:

Dear Sirs,

I would like to transfer <domain_name> to another registrar.
Could you, please, provide auth code for this domain?
"Domain Authorization Code" field in web-interface is, unfortunately, invalid.

Password for <domain_name> is <domain_password>.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Best regards,
<Your name>
