2. From RU-CENTER to another Registrar

You transfer support of your .RU, .SU, .РФ domain names, registered by RU-CENTER, to another Registrar, and remain their Registrant.

First of all, we recommend you to discuss the possibility of transferring the domain names with the Registrar, who will support the domains according to your plan.

For a registrar sponsorship transfer, a Registrant will be required to submit to RU-CENTER the following documents:

  • for legal entities:
    — letter for domain support transfer to another registrar (HTMLRTF)
    Note: If you transfer .RU or .РФ domain support being an unidentified client you will be required to undergo identification procedure.
  • for a natural person or sole trader:
    — letter for domain sponsorship transfer to another registrar (HTMLRTF)
    — copy of a passport.

Please notify the Registrar, who supports your domain names, about your decision to transfer domain names support to RU-CENTER (the form of notification is determined by the Registrar). The Registrar must perform necessary actions to transfer the domains and notify RU-CENTER about doing that.

The current Registrar should specify JSC RU-CENTER as a new Registrar

  • for .RU domains - identifier RU-CENTER-REG-RIPN
  • for .SU domains - identifier RUCENTER-REG-FID
  • for .РФ domains - identifier RUCENTER-REG-RF

If you do not have a service agreement with RU-CENTER, you should fill out a form to sign a service agreement with RU-CENTER and have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms and conditions of Domains Registration Schedules.

You have two service agreements with RU-CENTER, and you transfer support of all your domain names to one of them. The second must be cancelled.

You should present to RU-CENTER a letter from the domain names Registrant:

In the process of domain name rights transfer sometimes it is required to transfer rights for additional services for this domain as well (Primary, Secondary, Web-forwarding, Domain redirection, Mail redirection). If the domain name and additional services are administrated under the same agreement (account), requests for the domain name and additional services transfer can be included in one letter.

If you want to cancel the service agreement, under which the domain names were registered earlier, after domain support transfer, you should draw up the cancellation agreement.
