New features of the Primary-Standard service

From April 30, 2008 RU-CENTER provides new features for its clients under the Primary-Standard service. The updated version of the zone file editor DNS-master allows hosting and editing domain zone files on the primary DNS-server, and at the same time:

• The number of levels in a domain or a host name in zone file resource records is unlimited;
• A special symbol, an (*) asterisk, can be used in zone file as a wildcard;
• TXT-records with more than one character strings, corresponding with RFC-1035 standards, can be used;
• Separate records as well as the totality of zone file records are automatically checked and error diagnosis is carried out.
