RU-CENTER provided a possibility to hide personal data in the Whois-service to domain name administrator

From February 27.2008 a Partner can state "Private Person" in the "person" field of the Whois-service for his clients - .RU and .SU domain name administrators.

In the "person" field of the Whois-service for individual persons and individual entrepreneurs, full name of the one, who is the domain name administrator (owner), is stated.
There is no "person" field for domains, which are administered by a legal entity.

Thereby, the Partner's clients can hide their personal data and not publish it in generally accessible information of the Whois-service.

A possibility is provided for RU-CENTER's partners, to set the "Private Person" flag when registering a new .RU or .SU domain name (by sending requests by e-mail or through a http-gateway) or changing data for .RU or .SU domain name, and make mass changes in data for a domain list, including up to a 1000 names.

In this connection, changes have been made in formats of requests for new services or for changes in service data.
