About Primary-Standard ServiceTo ensure the proper domain functioning it is necessary that not less than two DNS-servers answer the domain-related requests. DNS-server, where the full primary information about a zone (domain) is stored, is a Primary DNS-server for that zone; other DNS-servers are Secondary, if they get full zone information from a primary DNS-server or another secondary DNS-server. RU-CENTER offers the Primary-Standard service to its customers. In the process of providing the service RU-CENTER adjusts one of its DNS-servers (ns3.nic.ru) as the primary for the customer's domain name:
The customer will be presented with an opportunity to enter records of the types SOA, NS, MX, A, CNAME, PTR, SRV, TXT into the zone independently within the framework of the service. You can become familiar with the detailed description of different types of these records and their meaning in RFC-1035, RFC-2782. In the process of transferring the Primary-Standard service from one RU-CENTER Service Agreement to another all the records, entered into the zone manually, are being deleted. If you want to save the records, you should make a copy of the zone file in advance and after transferring the service to another Service Agreement you should restore the data by means of DNS-Master zone file editor (the link "Additional features", the section "Loading a zone file from your computer"). You may order the Primary-Standard service for:
