Sunrise Registration Terms for Exclusive Owners for Geographical Indications of Goods Origin

Sunrise requests will be accepted from the exclusive owners for geographical indications of goods origin.

You may register a domain, if:

  • geographical indication of goods origin matches the domain name in a request upon deletion of spaces or space replacement with hyphens;
  • geographical indication of goods origin contains exclusively Cyrillic symbols;
  • the domain name meets general technical requirements for .ΠΤ domains.

For example, right holder for brand name "ΑΠΐΗΘΛάΡΚΘΙ ΚΞΤΕ" may register the following domain names:

— απΰηθλόρκθι-κξτε.πτ
— απΰηθλόρκθικξτε.πτ



General Technical Requirements

  • Minimum domain name length makes 2 Cyrillic characters (.ΠΤ symbols excluded).
  • Minimum domain name length is determined by the length of its presentation "xn-…".
  • The length of presentation shall not exceed 63 characters (.ΠΤ symbols excluded).
  • The domain name shall begin and end with a Cyrillic alphabet letter or numeral.
  • The Cyrillic alphabet letters, numerals or hyphens shall serve as intermediate symbols.
