.РФ Domains Public Registration Starting November 11, 2010

In September 30, 2010 the Council of the Coordination Center for TLD RU determined the date and procedure of .РФ domains public registration launch.

In November 11, 2010 exactly at 12:00 p.m. noon MSK .РФ domains registration will be publicly available for RF residents and legal entities registered in the Russian Federation.

For cybersquatter protection the following restrictions have been introduced:

• .РФ domains registration for the first year will be available for RF residents within the first year of public registration.
• Furthermore, within the first year upon initial registration domain ownership change will be forbidden.

The Council of the Coordination Center for TLD RU also took a decision to make a stop-list within РФ TLD to prohibit, among other things, the use of domain names consisting of obscenities.

From November 11, 2010 .РФ domains registration fee in RU-CENTER will make up 600 rubles (tax included).

Currently RU-CENTER continues to accept .РФ preorder requests for general public. Due to introduction of temporary restrictions for .РФ domains public registration RU-CENTER corrected the delivery procedure of the ".РФ domain preorder registration" service.
