.РФ Domains Sunrise Registration Extended

The Council of the Coordination Center for TLD RU took a decision to extend .РФ domains sunrise registration period to May 11, 2010.

For the first months of sunrise registration many organizations willing to register .РФ domains had certain questions in this regard. All these matters were subject to review by the Committee for Enhanced Domains Registration Rules, which prepared the updated version of the Domains Sunrise Registration Provision. This provision, above all things, broadens the list of user categories entitled for sunrise registration.

Now, the priority for .РФ Cyrillic domain registration is assumed for the users, which trademark is presented in Latin and Cyrillic characters or in Latin script only. .РФ domain may be registered by both trademark holders and media companies, non-profit and public organizations, etc.

The updated version of the Domains Sunrise Registration Provision will be shortly approved by the Council of the Coordinate Center.
